Hawkesbury City Council has launched a podcast to help residents understand local decisions and what they mean for the community.

The first episode of Chambers and Beyond is now available, offering an accessible look at the decisions, projects and services shaping the Hawkesbury.

Hosted by Council’s General Manager Will Barton, the podcast features Mayor Mary Lyons-Buckett and guests, including specialist council staff.

Each episode will explain key decisions made at council meetings, as well as work taking place beyond the chamber, giving listeners insight into how and why decisions are made and their impact on the community.

Recorded at Council’s podcast studio in Hawkesbury Central Library in Windsor, the series will be produced by council staff and released monthly on the Friday following each ordinary council meeting.

The first episode explores the Belmont Park and Kemsley Park development proposals, the Hawkesbury Oasis Aquatic and Fitness Centre project, Richmond Tennis Centre and Council’s Local Heritage Assistance Fund.

Chambers and Beyond is available to stream or download through Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube, or via Council’s website.
