There are so many wonderful reasons to join your local library, but Hawkesbury Library Service is here with one more just for you! During July, the Library is back with its annual Membership Drive, celebrating all new and existing members with a range of prizes for all ages.
All new Hawkesbury Library members who join during 1 – 31 July will go into the draw to win one of six $100 gift cards. There will also be prizes available for all Library members, new and existing, who borrow during July.

Simply visit the Library service desk with your borrowing receipt and ask about the prize draw.

Celebrating 200 Years of the State Library of NSW
This year, the Membership Drive is running in conjunction with the State Library of New South Wales’(SLNSW) 200th-anniversary project: the Library that Made Me, which encourages audiences across the state to share what their library means to them and consider the role libraries have played throughout their life.
Library Membership is FREE and open to everyone regardless of age, gender, cultural background, or ability. Hawkesbury Library Service welcomes everyone to join the family and be part of the Library that Made You.
Library Open Day
The Library team will be rounding out the Membership Drive period with a special morning tea to celebrate. Library and Information Week on Thursday 30 July, 2026. Alongside this fun morning event there will be opportunities for a special guided tour of the Library’s new Technology Hub and to record your own stories for the Library that Made Me project in the Production Studio.
